Nominations are being accepted for Christian Small Publisher Book of the Year Awards.

Sponsored by the Christian Small Publishers Association (CSPA), the awards-which recognize books produced by small publishers for outstanding contributions in Christian life-feature eight categories: Fiction; Biography; Christian Living; Relationships/Family; Bible Study/Theology; Children's (4-8 years); Children's (8-12 years); and Young Adult (12 years and up).

The Newsboys' Born Again (Inpop Records/EMI CMG Distribution) replaced Hello Love by Chris Tomlin (sixstepsrecords/EMI CMG Distribution) atop the SoundScan's Christian/gospel music Christian retail chart for sales the week ending July 21, while Flywheel (Provident Films/Provident-Integrity Distribution) continued to hold the top spot of the Christian Videos list.

Christian retailers are to be given a chance to interact with the authors of a new release from Kregel Publications in "Is God Just a Human Invention?," a free Webinar scheduled for next week.

The hour-long session will help retailers learn about the content and marketing plan for
Sean McDowell and Jonathan Morrow's Is God Just a Human Invention?, to be released Sept. 30. Part of Christian Retailing's Virtual Christian Retailing Show, the Webinar is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 2, 3-4 p.m. EST.

Touted as the first promotion of its kind by a book publisher, military novels from B&H Publishing Group's new Fidelis Books imprint are being advertised in military/action video games.

Thomas Nelson's best-sellers are being spotlighted in Christian Retailing's Virtual Christian Retailing Show.

Running through Labor Day, Sept. 6, the show is hosted by Christian Retailing magazine, aiming to help stores set themselves for the fall and Christmas seasons with product news, order specials and training. It is the magazine's fourth virtual trade event since debuting the innovative program following last year's ICRS.
