Karen Kingsbury's new novel brings the only major change to an Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's (ECPA) best-sellers list still dominated by marriage-related titles for the Valentine's Day season. Kingsbury's Take One (Zondervan) debuted at No. 6 in the April list of top-selling books, just released. The top 10 are: 1. The Love Dare by Stephen and Alex Kendrick (B&H Books/B&H Publishing Group); 2. The Shack by William P. Young (Windblown Media/Hachette Book Group USA); 3. Fireproof Your Marriage Participant's Guide by Jennifer Dion (Outreach); 4. The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman (Northfield Publishing/Moody Publishers); 5. The Love Dare, imitation leather edition (B&H Books/B&H Publishing Group); 7. Fireproof by Eric Wilson (Thomas Nelson); 8. Love & Respect by Emerson Eggerichs (Thomas Nelson); 9. What in the World Is Going On? by David Jeremiah (Thomas Nelson); and 10. Uncommon by Tony Dungy (Tyndale House Publishers). The top 10 Bibles for April: 1. Outreach New Testament-ESV (Crossway Books & Bibles); 2. Text Bible-NKJV (Thomas Nelson); 3. The Chronological Study Bible-NKJV (Thomas Nelson); 4. Operation Worship Bible-NLT (Tyndale House Publishers); 5. Adventure Bible-NIV (hardcover, Zonderkidz/Zondervan); 6. The VeggieTales Bible-NIV (hardcover, Zonderkidz/Zondervan); 7. Gift and Award Bible-KJV, black leatherflex (Thomas Nelson); 8. Gift and Award Bible-NKJV, black imitation leather (Thomas Nelson); 9. Really Woolly Bible-ICB, pink imitation leather (Thomas Nelson); and 10. Adventure Bible for Early Readers-NirV (hardcover, Zonderkidz/Zondervan). The ECPA lists are drawn from March sales at Christian retail stores across the country through the association's PubTrack Christian data system. Book lists are based on trade discounted titles selling in at least 20% of reporting stores. Tracts and booklets are excluded. |
