Thomas Nelson, InterVarsity Press (IVP) and Crossway books are among the winners of PreachingToday.com's annual Preaching Today Book Awards. Chosen by votes from preaching experts and the editors of PreachingToday.com, a nonprofit ministry of Christianity Today International, the books of the year were divided into two categories—Enhancing the Preacher's Skill and Feeding the Preacher's Soul. Bonhoeffer (Thomas Nelson), the biography of the German theologian and pastor by Eric Metaxas, was selected in the Feeding the Preacher's Soul category. In the Enhancing the Preacher's Skill category, the winner was Reclaiming the Old Testament for Christian Preaching by Grenville J. R. Kent, Paul J. Kissling and Laurence A. Turner, editors (IVP Academic/InterVarsity Press), while Biblical Theology in the Life of the Church by Michael Lawrence (Crossway) took second place.
