The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) named Stan Jantz its executive director, effective Dec. 1. Jantz has been serving as interim director, leading the association through a time of transition after former President and CEO Mark Kuyper was hired as executive director of the Book Industry Study Group (BISG). Jantz has worked in the Christian book industry throughout his professional life. He is a best-selling co-author of more than 60 books. Most recently, he was interim CEO for Gospel Light and publishing director for Regal Books, which was then part of Gospel Light. Dwight Baker, CEO and president of Baker Publishing Group and board chair of ECPA, commented on Jantz’s leadership. “We anticipate a robust future for ECPA under the leadership of Stan Jantz.” Baker said. “Stan is well-prepared to shape ECPA in a manner that serves our members well, and he will strengthen our professional ties to the urgent needs of the church. The importance of Christian literature cannot be overstated, and God has blessed our publishing community with this assignment.” Jantz said he was “honored” to be hired as executive director. “I am honored and excited to be in this important role,” Jantz said. “I am energized by the noble calling of Christian publishing, which is needed these days more than ever. The membership of ECPA is in a strategic position to provide books and resources for the church and the culture in greater and more effective ways. There’s no better time than now to advance the mission of ECPA and its members. The church and the world need what we have to offer.” |
