The Christian Trade Association International (CTAI) will host the first trade show for Christian retailers in the Caribbean, May 1-4. This event is believed to be the first major Christian trade event in the Caribbean for Christian retailers. “Response has been strong for a first-time event,” said Jim Powell, CTAI president. “Not only are stores interested in bringing a Christian trade event closer, but suppliers have also stepped up to support the show.” Two shows will be held, one at Miami's Embassy Suites Hotel and one at Port of Spain, Trinidad's Centre for Excellence. Both locations will feature an opening dinner, training for retail stores and a tabletop exhibition, CTAI said in a statement. Publishers and suppliers exhibiting at the show include Baker Publishing Group, Barbour Publishing, Christian Art Gifts, Dicksons Gifts, Harvest House Publishers, Kregel Publications, LifeWay International (including Broadman & Holman), Moody Publishers, Multnomah Publishers, NavPress, Thomas Nelson, Rollins Music Distribution (including EMI CMG, Provident-Integrity and Word), World Publishing, Strang Communications, Tyndale House Publishers and Zondervan. “This event will be a catalyst to help grow the distribution of Christian resources in the Caribbean,” Powell said.
