Cook Communications Ministries is offering free, downloadable alternative lessons for teachers that can be used in conjunction with its David C. Cook “Bible-in-Life” curriculum. Geared for upper elementary, middle school and high school students, RealLife Downloaded is updated every Wednesday at www.DavidCCook.com, with a different lesson for each age group. Topics include the latest in youth culture, along with subject matter that is not normally discussed in Sunday school but is what kids face daily. The goal is for students “to apply God's truth to real life and be able to articulate what they believe, reposition God as their top priority, and invite Christ into the 'off-limits' issues in their lives,” Cook said in a statement. “RealLife Downloaded is our response to kids' most current needs on important issues that affect them daily,” said Joan Benson, director of church marketing. “We see bookstores as our partner in alerting their church curriculum customers about this terrific resource. This free resource will … give the bookstores a relevant selling tool.” |
