To honor Sunday school teachers for their dedication and service to ministry, Gospel Light is organizing the 13th annual Sunday School Teacher Appreciation Day, to be marked Oct. 15.

Since 1993, an integral part of Sunday School Teacher Appreciation Day has been the national search for the Sunday School Teacher of the Year. In addition to being acknowledged with the Dr. Henrietta C. Mears Award, the winner of this year's contest also will receive a vacation for two to Hawaii. The church the winner represents will win a $500 gift certificate for Gospel Light curriculum. The top 10 finalists will receive prizes, and their churches will receive gift certificates for Gospel Light curriculum.
