After his show was canceled more than a year ago because its message was deemed “too pro-Israel and too anti-Muslim,” author and commentator Hal Lindsey has returned to Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) with a new current events program.

The Hal Lindsey Report will cover national and international issues from a biblical and prophecy-based perspective, TBN officials said. Lindsey, author of the best-seller The Late Great Planet Earth, hosted The International Intelligence Briefing on TBN for more than 12 years, but the program was pulled off the air in December 2005 because of statements Lindsey made concerning Islam and the Arab people.

“We are pleased to welcome Hal Lindsey back to TBN's lineup of award-winning programming,” said Paul Crouch Jr., vice president of administration at TBN. “Hal has partnered with this network since its early days, and his inspirational and thought-provoking programs have consistently been among the most popular with viewers.”

Lindsey said, like The International Intelligence Briefing, The Hal Lindsey Report would be a hard-hitting, informative and inspirational ministry program.

“I guarantee you that the Holy Spirit will have world news relevant to end-times Bible prophecy and Christian concerns,” he said.

The Hal Lindsey Report airs on Fridays at 5:30 p.m. PST. Check www.tbn.org/index.php/2/4/p/822.html for airtimes.
