Multnomah Books has announced the hiring of Ken Petersen as vice president, publishing director. In his new position, Petersen will oversee acquisitions and development, and direct Multnomah's editorial department, company officials said. Petersen was formerly senior director of acquisitions and development at Tyndale House Publishers, working with authors such as Jerry Jenkins, Gary Chapman, Chuck Colson, Francine Rivers and John Tesh. Steve Cobb, president of the WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group, a division of Random House, said Petersen's 35-year publishing career has earned him "an unparalleled reputation as one of the most savvy, talented, and effective acquisitions minds in our business, and he will add depth and strength to our growing Christian publishing group." |
