Integra Interactive announces the signing of an exclusive agreement with IndieHeaven.com for digital distribution of its member artists' songs through Integra's myMEDIA BurnBar system. "This is a win-win relationship for us," said David Amster, chief innovation officer for Integra Interactive. "IndieHeaven.com is the largest association of independent artists. They have great relationships with the artists and can help us in bringing many of them into our system." Songs from at least 300 independent artists are expected to be available to shoppers who wish to create custom CDs. "Integra has an excellent reputation with Christian retailers," said Keith Mohr, president of IndieHeaven.com. "They are the major provider of burning systems, and we believe their understanding of the 'long tail' of music will really help many of our indie artists get discovered by music buyers." Independent artists who license their songs for burning must also join Indieheaven.com. The artists will receive advance online marketing tools through the Web site and will be able to link up with fellow indie artists. Since its launch June 1, more than 100 myMEDIA BurnBar systems have been shipped to Christian retailers with more than 50 additional units to ship this month.
