Based on the best-selling Thomas Nelson novel by Robert Whitlow, The List is set to premiere Aug. 2 in Charlotte, N.C., with its all-star cast expected to be in attendance. The movie stars Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Heroes), Chuck Carrington (JAG), Hilarie Burton (One Tree Hill), Will Patton (Remember the Titans, Armageddon), Pat Hingle (Gunsmoke, Batman) and Tim Ware (Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius, Monster). Published in 2000, The List follows the journey of Renny Jacobson as his father's last will and testament leads him to uncover the mysterious secrets behind a clandestine society in his native hometown of Charlotte. The movie, the directorial debut for Gary Wheeler and his Boone, N.C.-based Level Path Productions, was shot primarily along the North Carolina coast in Wilmington, company officials said. "The List is a faithful adaptation of my novel," said Whitlow, who served as executive producer/co-screenwriter of the movie. "Gary Wheeler has created an artistically-excellent film about the power of prayer, (which) will have enduring influence." Rated PG for thematic elements, The List is scheduled to be released in theaters in August. For more information, visit www.TheList-TheMovie.com |
