The Gospel Music Association (GMA) and the Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) have entered into an agreement for the CMB to support the educational and promotional functions of the GMA for the radio community, announced John W. Styll, president of the GMA.

Under the new agreement, the National Christian Radio Seminar (NCRS) track at GMA Week will be renamed to the CMB Track, starting with the 2005 convention. The CMB Track will remain a professional development event for Christian music radio, specifically helping to develop excellence for program directors, promotions and music directors, on-air talent as well as managers and salespeople.

The CMB will take over planning and assisting of promoting the radio sessions of GMA Week. The NCRS steering and agenda committees of the GMA Board will be merged into CMB educational committees with Jon Hull, current NCRS Chairman, becoming the CMB Educational Chairman and retaining his current official seat on the GMA Board. The NCRS Steering and Agenda Committee will also be renamed, but their structure and personnel will remain the same.
