Based on the fifth installment of Janette Oke's "Love Comes Softly" series (Bethany House Publishers/Baker Publishing Group), Love's Unending Legacy is scheduled for release on DVD Dec. 4 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and is being distributed to Christian retail by Word Distribution.

The Western frontier is the backdrop for the LaHaye family's search for love and discovery. The movie's plot strays some from the stories of the popular novels.

The previous DVD titles in the series-Love Comes Softly, Love's Enduring Promise, Love's Long Journey and Love's Abiding Joy-have ranked as the highest-rated films in the history of The Hallmark Channel, and have been mainstays on the Christian retail channel's top 10 adult titles chart, according to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
