Oscar winners Forrest Whitaker and Cuba Gooding Jr. are among the star-studded cast for the Old Testament edition of the Inspired by...The Bible Experience audio presentation of the Today's New International Version to be released by Zondervan in the fall. Whitaker will voice Moses and Gooding, Jonah in the new release. Also among the 200-plus cast members confirmed for the Old Testament audio Bible, which follows a year after the successful debut of the New Testament, are LL Cool J, Angela Bassett and Denzel Washington and his wife, Pauletta, who read Song of Songs. The full line-up includes three Oscar winners, five Golden Globe winners and seven Emmy winners, with an original music score from the Prague Symphony Orchestra. The New Testament edition has sold more than 300,000 units and won Audio Publishers Association's Audiobook of the Year and Christian Retailing Retailers Choice Award prizes. Ron Belk, president and CEO of Inspired By Media Group, said the production company was thrilled by the caliber of the cast. "The fact that celebrities, artists and clergy have enthusiastically requested to be a part of this affirms that The Bible Experience is truly a one-of-a-kind, groundbreaking project." |
