Thomas Nelson and Baker Publishing Group lead the field in this year’s Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) Christian Book Awards, with five titles in the list of finalists in six categories.

Two hundred eighteen titles published in 2008 were reviewed by 72 judges, with the winners to be announced the first night of ECPA’s new, consumer-focused Christian Book Expo, March 19, in Dallas.

“For the first time, the award winners will be announced in the presence of the reading public,” said ECPA President Mark Kuyper. “This reader-to-author connection brings a new level of excitement and anticipation to the awards program.”
