Kingsbury’s novel debuts on ‘New York Times’ list

Karen Kingsbury's This Side of Heaven (Center Street/Hachette Book Group USA) debuted at No. 19 on the New York Times Paperback Trade Fiction list for the week of Jan. 23.

Released Jan. 6, This Side of Heaven was inspired by the life and death of Kingsbury's brother, Dave. Kingsbury's previous novel, Every Now and Then (Zondervan), also debuted on the New York Times Paperback Trade Fiction list last November.

Kingsbury, who won the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's prestigious Christian Book of the Year Award in 2007 for Ever After (Zondervan), has nearly 11 million books in print.
