A publisher and a movie company have joined forces to cross promote new projects about the life and ministry of globe-trekking evangelist Arthur Blessitt.

The Cross is the name of the book released last month by Authentic Publishing and also the title of the documentary to be released in theaters next month by Gener8Xion Entertainment. The book cover and film poster feature the same photo of Blessitt, who has carried a 12-foot cross around the world during the last 40 years.

The 240-page book, priced $17.99, carries a cover sticker promoting the March 27 release of the film. Subtitled "The Arthur Blessitt Story," the movie has been made by the company responsible for The Omega Code and One Night With the King.

"I wanted to explore exactly what it is that drives a man like this," said director Matthew Crouch, CEO of Gener8Xion Entertainment. "I always find myself inspired by people driven to lead extreme lives."

Since he first walked with the cross in 1969, Blessitt has taken it by foot to 315 nations, territories and island groups, covering almost 40,000 miles.
