‘A Christmas Carol Special Edition’ coming

Capitalizing on the fall release of Disney's high-tech, 3-D version of Charles Dickens' classic yuletide tale, Standard Publishing will released A Christmas Carol Special Edition in September.

The new annotated version will include the complete text of the book with Christian insights and discussion questions for groups and families provided by author Stephen Skelton, whose previous work featured producing a best-selling, video-based Bible study series that included The Mayberry Bible Study and The Beverly Hillbillies Bible Study.

Due in theaters Nov. 6, A Christmas Carol stars Jim Carrey as Scrooge and all three ghosts, and is directed by Robert Zemeckis (The Polar Express).
