Max Lucado preaches to thousands in Honduras Print Email

altThomas Nelson best-selling author and pastor Max Lucado recently preached to thousands during an evangelistic campaign sponsored by Mike Silva International (MSI) in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Lucado spoke twice during the event's main session, with more than 110,000 in attendance, as well as twice to a pastors/leaders conference at the La Cosecha Church and once to a businessmen's group. MSI officials estimated that more than 160,000 people attended the two-day festival, held April 24-25.

Now 2 Friend's Design has created 16 original designs that are featured on a variety of products, from Giclée fine art gallery-wrapped canvas wall prints and table-sized photographic art produced on a special metallic photographic paper to journals, note pads, dry-erase calendars, and magnets and bookmarks, all as a part of their initial line.

altCelebrating 40 years in ministry this year, Jerry Savelle--author of the recently released Called to Battle, Destined to Win (Regal Books)--is currently on the road by motorcycle with his ministry Chariots of Light Christian Motorcycle & Car Club.

His Texas outreach tour, which runs through May, includes stops in San Antonio, Waco and Austin. Savelle and his wife, Carolyn, are founding pastors of Heritage of Faith Christian Center in Crowley, Texas.

altChurch resource group Outreach Inc. is seeking to fan the flames of marriage renewal in Spanish-speaking congregations and communities with translations of materials for the hit movie Fireproof.

The Vista, Calif.-based church communication and outreach tools provider has released just Spanish-language study and devotional programs created to build on the challenge to couples presented in the film about a firefighter's troubled marriage.

Vegas entertainer Danny Gans dies Print Email

altDanny Gans--one of the most popular entertainers on the Las Vegas Strip over the last decade who once said that his goal was to be a multimedia star while affirming his "Christian values"--died in his sleep May 1, the Associated Press (AP) reported. He was 52. The cause of death is unknown.

"I managed him 18 years and health was never an issue," said Gans' manager and longtime friend, Chip Lightman. "Danny lived a good, clean Christian life."

Windblown Records, a new division of Windblown Media--the company formed to publish William P. Young's novel after it was turned down by more than 20 established publishers--has released My Beautiful One. The 12-track CD features instrumental arrangements of worship songs by Chris DuPré.
