The author of Revolution and Boiling Point identifies and describes seven different groups, or "faith tribes," he believes have an important part to play in the days ahead--"captive Christians," casual Christians, Jews, Mormons, Muslims, pantheists and skeptics--and suggests strategies they could employ to work toward a better future for America.

Moody Publishers goes green Print Email

altMoody Publishers has gone digital for its 2009-2010 fall release catalog. By the end of this month, the publisher will mail paper bookmarks--suitable for planting--for downloading a PDF or an interactive file of the catalog as well as instructions to request a print copy.

The bookmark can then be torn up and planted for a harvest of wildflowers this spring, Moody officials said. "As stewards of the creation, Moody Publishers asks our customers to grow and stand with us in the endeavor to wisely use what we've been given," said Rhonda Elfstrand, Moody's marketing manager for catalogs, conventions and creative.

altAdvent Film Group enlisted the help of Patrick Henry College students and homeschoolers in Virginia to make Come What May, a 93-minute, pro-life drama about the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Released last month and available through Provident-Integrity Distribution, Come What May--which features the tagline, "The judges are stacked against them, but the greatest debate will happen before they enter the courtroom"--was ranked No. 10 for sales the week ending April 5 of the SoundScan Christian Videos list.

Liturgical show to encourage ‘mutual business’ Print Email

altThe Religious Booksellers Trade Exhibit (RBTE) for Catholic, Episcopal and other liturgical retailers and suppliers, will be held in St. Charles, Ill., May 26-29.

For Cliff Knighten, installed in February as executive director of the Catholic Book Publishers Association, the show offers "a significant opportunity for these members to connect with trade bookstores, renew relationships and introduce new products."
