JulieJayne-webWorthy Publishing announced the addition of industry veteran Julie Jayne to the executive team in her new role as vice president of sales. Jayne will oversee new account development and the sales force for ABA stores, independent retailers and the gift market.

Jayne joins the Worthy executive team with more than 27 years in publishing sales, marketing and acquisitions. Jayne, who was named Barnes & Noble’s Mid-Size Representative of the Year in 2011, is a graduate of New York University’s School of Professional Studies Center for Publishing.

DeeperCalling Media’s Bill Goodyear dies suddenly Print Email

BillGoodyearWilliam “Bill” Goodyear, founder and CEO of Christian retail services group DeeperCalling Media, died of a heart attack Jan. 16.

The obituary notes that “the City of Duluth lost an incredible father, husband and friend. William Goodyear left footprints on the hearts of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed.”
