Thomasson has nearly 15 years of experience in acquisitions and concept development and has worked on books with best-selling authors in the general and Christian markets across a broad range of genres. He served as editorial director at WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group and senior editor at NavPress.

Biblica appoints Carl Moeller as CEO Print Email

CarlMoeller-webBiblica’s board of directors has appointed by unanimous vote Carl A. Moeller as chief executive officer, effective Oct. 14.

Since 2000, Dr. Moeller served three years as a pastor at Saddleback Church, then nine years as president and CEO for Open Doors, USA, before founding Sequoia Global Resources in 2012. He will replace Doug Lockhart, who announced last March that he would transition from his role as CEO by early 2015.

Annie Tipton has been promoted to senior acquisitions editor. In her new role, Tipton is focusing solely on acquisitions, as she will be responsible for product development in fiction and nonfiction. She also will manage Barbour’s acquisitions team—including Rebecca Germany, senior fiction editor; Brigitta Nortker, who has been promoted to nonfiction acquisitions editor; and an additional, soon-to-be-hired nonfiction acquisitions editor.

DavidGunn-webDavid Gunn has joined Regular Baptist Press (RBP) as its new editorial director of publications. Gunn’s responsibilities include overseeing development for non-curriculum products, including the Baptist Bulletin, books, Bible studies and Vacation Bible School.

“For nearly a century the GARBC (General Association of Regular Baptist Churches) and its publishing arm, RBP, have played a vital role in equipping, strengthening and mobilizing the Regular Baptist sector of American Christianity,” Gunn said. “I count it a blessing and an honor to participate in this great work that God has established for our good and His glory.”
