WhatAreYouAfraidOf-webWhat Are You Afraid Of? by Dr. David Jeremiah has remained a top five best-selling title on the New York Times Hardcover Advice, How-to and Miscellaneous list throughout its release month. The Tyndale House Publishers title released Oct. 1.  

In the book, Jeremiah explores the top nine fears that hold people back from the peace that God has promised. The final chapter brings clarity to one misunderstood fear—the fear of God.

Jeremiah serves as senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon, Calif.. He is the founder and host of Turning Point, the world’s largest syndicated Bible teaching ministry. He has written more than 50 books, including Captured by GraceThe Coming Economic Armageddon and God Loves You—He Always Has. He Always Will. Additionally, Worthy Publishing is releasing his The Jeremiah Study Bible on Nov. 26.

Love Finds You in Sugarcreek, Ohio stars Sarah Lancaster (TV series Chuck) and Tom Everett Scott (That Thing You Do, Parental Guidance).

Nominations for the second annual We Love Christian Music Awards were recently announced with Hawk Nelson leading the field.

Produced by NewReleaseTuesday.com in conjunction with Grand Canyon University, the awards honor the best artists and releases of Christian music in 2013, as chosen by the site’s editorial staff. Fans are invited to vote for winners of 23 categories through Dec. 13 at www.theweloveawards.com.

Former Zondervan Editor Sue Brower joins Natasha Kern Literary Agency Print Email

SueBrower-webSusan Brower, former executive editor for Zondervan, has joined the Natasha Kern Literary Agency as literary agent.

Brower’s career spans almost 25 years in publishing and has included research, marketing, acquisitions and editorial responsibilities for fiction and nonfiction. She has worked with several New York Times best-selling novels, including titles from Karen Kingsbury, Terri Blackstock and Tim LaHaye. Brower was named Editor of the Year in 2010 by American Christian Fiction Writers and Advanced Writers and Speakers Association.

“I love fiction and am in awe of those writers who are gifted storytellers,” Brower said. “I want to be able to advocate for authors and help them achieve their publishing dream of seeing their words and stories in print.”

Natasha Kern, president of the agency, said of Brower’s hiring: “It will help us to continue to be a full-service agency as we support our authors careers through the many changes in the industry at this time.
