Lexham Press and Anchor Distributors announced Thursday that they are partnering to provide digital resources for bookstores. Lexham Press is the publishing imprint of Faithlife Corporation, the makers of Logos Bible Software.

With the new partnership, Lexham will continue to cultivate relationships with digital readers and academic partners, while Anchor will house, distribute and market Lexham print titles for trade and retail channels. 

B&H Publishing Group announced Friday the hiring of Katy Boatman as its marketing strategist for women’s trade books. She begins her new role this month.

Boatman will oversee marketing for key B&H Publishing trade book authors such as Lauren Chandler, Annie Downs, Sophie Hudson and Priscilla Shirer. In addition, she will be an integral part of the marketing campaign for She Reads Truth resources.

In celebration of more than 1 million copies sold of The Action Bible: God's Redemptive Story, David C Cook announced Friday the release of The Action Bible Collector’s Edition. The Collector’s Edition features a premium chrome cover and organizes the 215 stories from the Old and New Testaments in chronological order, making it easy to follow the Bible’s historical flow.

The Action Bible is being translated into 88 languages for distribution around the world, with over 340,000 units in print in Brazil alone. David C Cook created The Story of Jesus Christ booklet, an extracted story from The Action Bible, for ministry use. The booklet has been translated into 52 languages and is available in 95 countries, with more than 49 million copies in circulation.

Hillsong Church announced Tuesday its new live worship project, Open Heaven/River Wild, set to release Oct. 16. This is the first time that the church has recorded an entire album live at its annual conference in Sydney, Australia, with more than 25,000 in attendance.

This year’s project features songs written by a variety of Hillsong worship leaders, such as Reuben Morgan, Taya Smith, Marty Sampson, Joel Houston and Ben Fielding.

John R. Kohlenberger III, Zondervan author and biblical scholar, passed away Sept. 29, 2015. He was 64 years old.

Kohlenberger’s contributions to Bible publishing and Bible study reference tools revolutionized the way that biblical languages are studied. The NIV Exhaustive Concordance, published in 1990, is considered one of Kohlenberger’s crowning achievements, along with co-creator Edward W. Goodrick.
